Passages
SOLO SHOW | Italian Consulate, London
2016. Photography show at the Italian Consulate London featuring the Passages series.
A passage is the act of moving from one place, condition, or state to another. It marks a transition — physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual — that shapes the way we experience life.
This photographic series by Riccardo Wolfgang explores the passages that define human existence. Through carefully observed and aesthetically restrained images, the work reflects on moments of transition that often go unnoticed, yet profoundly alter our perception and direction.
Human beings exist in a constant state of evolution. We often romanticize the past or project ourselves into the future, yet it is frequently the overlooked moments of transition — intersections, thresholds, and temporary states — that truly move us forward.
The images in Passages search for these subtle moments across everyday life and different parts of the world, observing how transformation is experienced through space, movement, atmosphere, and human presence.
